About

All those associated with Mediation Hertfordshire understand the adverse effects of conflict and want to help.

History

Mediation Hertfordshire is a not for profit organisation that started in 1998 in the Borough of Dacorum in Hertfordshire to support people experiencing conflict in the community. Since that time, we have extended our reach across the County and now offer mediation and conflict resolution services to those experiencing disputes in the community, the family, in schools and in the workplace. We also offer training about conflict resolution.

Our Supporters

Mediation Hertfordshire is a completely independent and impartial organisation, but we would not exist without the generous help of those who fund our work. We are extremely grateful to our funders both past and present and set out below a list of those organisations who currently support our work across Hertfordshire:

  • Hertfordshire County Council
  • Dacorum Borough Council
  • St Albans District Council
  • Police and Crime Commissioner
  • Affinity Sutton
  • North Herts Homes
  • Hightown
  • Thrive Homes

Our Team

We have a small office team and a larger group of approximately 40 volunteer mediators. Our volunteer mediators are professionally trained and come from diverse employment backgrounds. Many of our volunteers have seen the benefits of mediation first hand which has inspired them to train as mediators and volunteer for us.
